Circular Economy Club Calgary, with support from a Calgary Dollars Take Action Grant, is launching a project to encourage sustainable Repair Exchange.

To make this venture a success, we are planning several Repair Exchange events in Calgary during 2022. As a start, we are launching a survey to learn more about the needs and skills available within Calgary and develop a network of interested participants.

What are our aims with this initiative?

  • More Repair & Less Waste

    To encourage more Calgarians to repair items rather than throw them in the landfill, so we can extend the life of products.

  • Community Building

    To encourage connections within the community that can lead to stronger relationships and mutual benefit.

  • Value of Repair

    To recognize and celebrate the value in repair services by allocating compensation that is fair, equitable, and accessible.

  • Increase Repair Jobs

    To create an increased capacity for Repair to become a viable form of income, either as part or full-time work.

  • Make it Sustainable

    To analyze the successes and challenges of creating a sustainable Repair Exchange network in Calgary.
